Dayton Dragons News Release
Burlington, Iowa-The Midwest League game between the Dayton Dragons and Burlington Bees was canceled due to rain on Monday night. The two teams do not play again in 2010 so the game will not be rescheduled.
The Dragons scored one run in the top of the first inning when Didi Gregorius singled, went to second on a wild pitch, and scored on a base hit by Cameron Satterwhite. But before Burlington could come to bat in the bottom of the first, heavy rain, strong wind, and lightning made its way to Community Field. The field became unplayable and the game could not be resumed.
The Dragons (8-15) return home to begin a three-game series with the Cedar Rapids Kernels on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Fifth Third Field.
