Today's Game: The Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Captains (affiliate of the Cleveland Indians) in the third game of a four-game set. This is game six of the Dragons seven-game road trip.

Season Series: Lake County 9, Dayton 2 (At Lake County: Lake County 7, Dayton 1).

Streaks: Dayton: Lost 2 (Lost 20 of last 22). Lake County: Won 2 (6-10 over last 16 games).

Last Game: Lake County defeated Dayton 8-2 on Wednesday. The Captains broke open a close game by scoring five unearned runs in the bottom of the eighth inning, taking advantage of two Dayton errors in the frame. For the second straight night, the Dragons started the scoring with a solo home run when Mark Fleury connected in the fourth inning. But Lake County answered with two runs in the fifth to take a 3-1 lead. The Dragons scored in the eighth, keyed by a lead-off double by Kevyn Feiner to pull to 3-2 before Lake County's big bottom of the eighth. Dayton had nine hits. Fleury, Feiner, and Henry Rodriguez all had two.

Today's Starting Pitcher: Ricky Bowen comes back on three days rest to make his 10th start of the season tonight. Bowen was knocked out early in his last start on Sunday at West Michigan and suffered the loss (2.1 IP, 8 H, 7 R, 7 ER, 0 BB, 0 SO). He began the season in extended spring training and joined the Dragons on May 25. Bowen was selected by the Reds in the 43rd round of the 2009 draft out of Mississippi State University. After signing with the Reds last summer, Bowen logged just 14.1 innings, going 0-2, 6.28 with Billings (Pioneer League). Bowen went 2-3, 8.44 at MSU as a junior in the spring of 2009. Bowen, 22, is a native of Jasper, Alabama.

Individual Notes

* Mark Fleury has a 10-game hitting streak and is batting .347 over his last 26 games. He batted .352 in July to tie for eighth in the league. He is batting .327 in the second half to lead the team. Fleury is fourth in the league in slugging percentage in the second half at .587.

* Henry Rodriguez has hit safely in 38 of his last 42 games. He is batting .326 over his last 53 games (221 AB) with 18 doubles and seven home runs. He is hitting .322 in the second half to rank second on the team.

* Didi Gregorius has hit in nine of his last 10 games, batting .333.

* Ryan LaMarre is batting .350 over his last nine games.

* Frank Pfister has hit in six straight games, batting .381 with a home run.

* Jacob Johnson over his last three starts: 1-0, 19.1 IP, 3 ER, 1.40 ERA. Johnson since May 26: 5-2, 3.43 ERA.

* The Dragons roster includes two players who are ranked among the Reds top 30 prospects by Baseball America. They are shortstop Didi Gregorius (#15) and pitcher J.C. Sulbaran (#25).
