Dragons On T.V.

Saturday's game will be televised on WHIO Digital Channel 7.2. It is available on Time Warner Basic Cable Channel 23 and Digital Channel 372 to over 400,000 households.

Former Reds pitcher Doug Bair will join Tom Nichols on the TV broadcast.

Dragons On The Field

Mark Fleury is batting .341 over his last 25 games. He batted .352 in July to tie for eighth in the league. He is batting .320 in the second half to lead the team.

Eight of the 27 Dragons losses in the second half have come by one run and seven have come by two runs. The Dragons have held the lead in the eighth or ninth inning in five of their 27 second half losses and were tied in the ninth inning in four other losses. Four times in the second half, the Dragons have held the lead with two outs in the final inning but lost the game.

The Dragons are in their 11th season of professional baseball in Dayton. Former Reds first baseman Todd Benzinger has returned for his second season with the Dragons. Joining him on the coaching staff are hitting coach Ken Griffey, Sr., a member of the Reds Hall of Fame, and pitching coach Tony Fossas, a veteran of 12 Major League seasons as a player.
