Today's Game: The Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Lugnuts (affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays) in the first game of a three-game set. Season Series: Lansing 6, Dayton 3. Dayton won the first three meetings of the season between the clubs while Lansing has taken the last six. Lansing is 3-0 vs. the Dragons in Lansing. Streaks: Dayton: Lost 1 (9-6 over last 15). Lansing: Lost 4 (Lost 6 of last 7).
Last Game: Dayton closed out the first half on Sunday, losing to Great Lakes 7-5 at Fifth Third Field. Dayton entered the ninth inning trailing 7-0 before rallying for five runs, keyed by a three-run home run by Shane Carlson. But the rally came up short as Great Lakes salvaged a single win in the series. Didi Gregorius was 3 for 4 with two doubles to lead Dayton. The Dragons first half record of 30-39 was their best since 2007.
Today's Starting Pitcher: Tim Crabbe makes his third start of the season tonight. He has also made two relief appearances. Crabbe last pitched last Friday vs. Great Lakes in relief (3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 SO). He opened the 2010 season in extended spring training before joining the Dragons for one start on May 22 vs. Bowling Green (4.2 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 3 SO), then returned to Goodyear. He re-joined Dragons on June 5. Crabbe spent last season at Billings and went 1-7, 4.86 in 14 starts. He was the Reds 14th round draft pick out of Westmont (Cal.) College.

* Cameron Satterwhite has hit in 10 straight games, going 19 for 40, .475. He is batting .411 over his last 19 games and is now batting .367 since joining the Dragons. Since May 21 when Satterwhite joined the Dragons, he ranks second in the league in batting average, tied for fourth in extra base hits, tied for first in doubles, and seventh in slugging percentage. He is hitting .403 for the month of June, which ranks second in the league.
