
Captains Return Home Monday for a Six-Game Home Stand Packed With Promotions & Fireworks

The Lake County Captains, Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, return home Monday to begin the home portion of the second half of Midwest League action with a six-game home stand against Great Lakes and West Michigan. The Captains won the first half Eastern Division Championship on Sunday in dramatic fashion with a Casey Frawley walk-off home run.
Monday is the second "Faith Night" of the year presented by 95.5 the FISH and will feature a 6 PM Pre-Game Concert by "His Name High" which was the second place finisher of the Real Music Festival sponsored by the FEST. Willie Cleary from 95.5 The Fish will be on hand as the MC for the concert which will take place in the left field picnic area. It is also a PNC Buck Night which features 50-cent hot dogs and a $1 concession menu that includes fries, popcorn, onion rings, fountain soda and ten oz. domestic draft beer. Following the game will be the Captains annual Post Game Hot Air Balloon Prize Drop. Lucky fans will be selected to go on the field and have the opportunity to catch prizes which will be tossed from a hot air balloon tethered above center field. Game time is 7 PM.
Tuesday is Two-for-Tuesdays and Kids Eat Free. Kids 12 and under with a paid admission receive a voucher for a free hot dog, fries and soda when they enter Classic Park. The Captains will offer a buy-one-get-one free special on hot dogs, fries, onion rings, chips, soft pretzels and popcorn. Fans can also receive a buy-one get-one free ticket offer by bringing a KRAFT Singles wrapper to the Classic Park box. For more information on the offer, visit kraftsingles.com. Game time is 7 PM.
Tuesday is also National Camera Day and Captains fans will have the opportunity to take photos on the field with their favorite Captains players before the game. Fans who bring their own cameras will have the chance to be on the field from 6:15 - 6:35 to take photos and meet Captains players. Wednesday is Camp day with a special 11 AM game time.
The Captains will host "Please Stay LeBron Night" on Thursday at 7 PM, the same day that starts the free agency period in the NBA. The Captains will re-name themselves the "LeLake LeCounty LeCaptains" for the evening and all LeCaptains players and staff will add the "Le" prefix to their first names. Fans are encouraged to wear their LeBron jerseys, shoes and other Cavaliers gear to the park. In addition, fans can pick up The News-Herald that day and bring the commemorative poster that will be found inside to the park and take advantage of a special $6 ticket offer, in honor of LeBron's new jersey number. There will also be additional full-page inserts available inside LeClassic Park.
Sports Time Ohio (STO) will be at LeClassic Park that day with the All Bets are Off with Bruce Drennan broadcasting live from Corona's Castaways Bar inside the park. The STO show Beer Money will be taping a show at Castaways as well during the game that night. Fans will be allowed to enter the ballpark at 4 PM to watch All Bets are Off.
Thursday is also the traditional "Thirsty Thursday" presented by ESPN 850 WKNR. The night will feature a nickel beer Happy Hour for one hour before game time and half price draft beer and soda until 9 PM. Thursday night's are also "Military ID Nights" all season long, presented by Lake County Speedway. Military members, their family and friends will receive $5 box seat tickets with a valid military ID. The Captains will offer a pizza and wing buffet for only $10 which is located by the Corona Castaway's Bar.
Friday is a "Frito's Friday Night" where fans will be selected to participate in various activities including being on the field for the National Anthem, watching fireworks from the dugout and appearing on the radio broadcast. A fireworks extravaganza follows the 7 PM game, presented by Plevin and Gallucci.
Saturday the first 1,500 fans will receive a Skipper Rock ân Bobble presented by Lake Health as part of the Captains Rock ân Roll Weekend, in partnership with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. Fans will be able to take part in fun rock and roll trivia and promotions throughout the game and have the opportunity to win great prizes from the Hall of Fame and Museum.
Saturday is also a "Silent Auction Saturday" when fans can to bid on various pieces of baseball memorabilia in a silent auction and also purchase raffle tickets for other prizes. The Captains players and coaches will wear special purple survivor jerseys and fans will have the opportunity to bid on these game-worn jerseys through the sixth inning. The winners of the jersey will get to go on the field and have their jersey autographed and a photo taken with the players, which will be posted on the captainsbaseballfans.com website, following the game. The silent and jersey will benefit the American Cancer Society and Captains Charities. A fireworks show will follow the 7 PM game presented by Discount Drug Mart.
TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Fans may visit CaptainsBaseball.com for information on alternate routes to and from Classic Park during the current construction that is taking place on Route 91. The Captains are working with the City of Eastlake and ODOT to ensure the smoothest possible traffic flow for fans attending games at Classic Park until the construction is completed.
