Dayton Dragons News Release

Beloit, Wisconsin - Angel Morales drilled a home run and an RBI double to lead the Beloit Snappers to a come-from-behind 8-4 victory over the Dayton Dragons on Wednesday night. The two clubs have split the first two games of the series.

The Dragons took the lead in the first inning when Cameron Satterwhite doubled off the center field fence and eventually scored on a sacrifice fly by Henry Rodriguez. In the second, Dayton added two more runs on back-to-back two-out RBI singles by Alex Oliveras and Satterwhite to jump ahead 3-0.

But the rest of the night belonged to the Snappers. They scored two runs against Dragons starting pitcher J.C. Sulbaran in the fourth, added one against Mike Konstanty in the fifth, and then took the lead with two against Konstanty in the sixth. Beloit took command with three in the sixth against reliever Ezequiel Infante.

Dayton finished with nine hits. Satterwhite, who did not start the game, went 3 for 4 with two doubles and a single. He scored two runs and drove in one. Josh Garton went 2 for 4 with a run scored.

Dayton (24-35) will close out the series at Beloit (29-30) on Thursday at 8:00 p.m. Justin Walker (1-7, 5.40) will start for Dayton against Beloit's Brad Stillings (4-3, 4.86). The next home game is Friday, June 18th against the Great Lakes Loons at Fifth Third Field.

Notes: Both teams lost players to injuries after being hit by pitches. Dayton's Andrew Means was hit on the hand with the second pitch of the game and could not continue. Beloit catcher Danny Rams was hit on the elbow in the second inning and left the game, leading to a highly-unusual circumstance. The Snappers had to put their designated hitter into the game defensively, forcing their pitcher to go into the batting order. Miguel Munoz batted twice and had a hit in his second time to the plate...Didi Gregorius is batting .377 over his last 12 games through Wednesday...The Dragons were batting .292 as a team over their last 11 games entering Wednesday's game.
