
Double-Digit Hits Not Enough in Monday Loss

North Little Rock, AR - The Northwest Arkansas Naturals extended the Arkansas Travelers losing streak to five straight games with a 6-5 win on Monday night at Dickey-Stephens Park.
Trailing 3-0 in the fourth, Arkansas plated four runs in the frame to take the lead, but the Naturals immediately countered with two in the fifth to retake the lead. Arkansas tied the game at 5-5 in the bottom of the fifth, but Northwest Arkansas' run in the seventh but the Naturals ahead for good.
The runs Arkansas scored in the fourth snapped a 23 inning scoreless streak.
Travs 3B Andrew Daniel finished 3-for-5 in the game and is now 6-for-9 when batting second in the lineup.
CF Chad Hinshaw, LF Jabari Henry and SS Anthony Phillips each had two hits for Arkansas.
RHP Victor Alcantara got the nod for the Travs and worked five innings. He allowed five runs (four earned) on seven hits with two walks and seven strikeouts.
RHP Danny Reynolds (L, 0-1) worked two innings after Alcantara and allowed the go-ahead run in the seventh on four hits with no walks and one strikeout.
RHP Austin Adams pitched the eighth and ninth and did not allow a man on base with four strikeouts.
LHP Eric Skoglund allowed all five runs for Northwest Arkansas over his five innings of work.
RHP Benino Pruneda Jr. (W, 2-2) earned the victory with 2.2 scoreless innings after Skoglund. He struck out four.
RHP Andrew Edwards (S, 2) also struck out four over the final two innings of shutout ball.
SS Raul Mondesi Jr. and 1B Ryan O'Hearn both finished with three hits for Northwest Arkansas.
The Travs, who entered the game 11-last-71 with RISP, went 3-for-6 on Monday.
With the loss, Arkansas fell to 12-19 on the season. The two teams will conclude the series on Tuesday at Dickey-Stephens Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
