Chicago Dogs News Release

While the Dogs put up more of a fight on Sunday than they did on Saturday, they ultimately dropped game three, the final game of the series, to their division rival Kane County Cougars, by a final of 8-4. Chicago scored four runs on seven hits, while the Cougars scored eight runs on nine hits. While Keoni Cavaco went five innings, he was tagged for seven earned runs. Zach Davidson hurled two scoreless, including three strikeouts. JC Keys also got three outs without allowing an earned run in his return from injury. In the top of the second inning, Dusty Stroup and Chance Sisco both doubled, scoring the Dogs first run. Andy Nelson followed that with a two-run homer, his second of the season. The Dogs increased their lead to 3-1. The Cougars scored eight runs prior to the Dogs next run coming across, which was Reggie Pruitt Jr. coming home on a passed ball in the top of the ninth. The Dogs have the day off tomorrow, followed by three games in Lake Country starting on Tuesday, in a battle for first place in the Eastern Division. All Chicago Dogs games are streamed live on aabaseball.tv.
