Arkansas Travelers News Release

Dickey-Stephens Park, North Little Rock, Arkansas - The Arkansas Travelers are proud to announce that Dickey-Stephens Park has been named Ballpark of the Year by BASEBALLPARKS.COM. The award is annually awarded by BASEBALLPARKS.com Webmaster Joe Mock to the new or remodled ballpark with the best combination of superior design, desirable site selection and fan amenities. During the 2007 season, fans showed their enjoyment of the new park by setting an all-time attendance record in the Travs' 101-season history.

"The Travelers, the City of North Little Rock and HKS Architechts combined forces to create one of the finest facilites in Minor League Baseball," Mock remarks in his review after attending the park's opening day. "Dickey-Stephens Park not only has beautiful and unique design elements, it also takes advantage of a wonderful location. Perhaps best of all, it is truly a baseball-first venue."

Dickey-Stephens Park joins PNC Park in Pittsburgh (2001), Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco (2003), Springfield's Hammons Field (2005), PETCO Park in San Diego (2004) and West End Field in Greenville, SC (2006) as BASEBALLPARKS.com Ballpark of the Year.
