Cedar Rapids Kernels News Release
The Cedar Rapids Kernels announced today that RHP Robert Romero has been placed on the DL and that RHP Amalio Diaz has been activated from the DL.
Diaz has been on the DL since July 22nd with a sprained knee. Amalio is scheduled to be the starting pitcher for Wednesday's game in Peoria.
Romero was activated from the DL on July 30th with a shoulder injury. He pitched 2/3 of an inning in Tuesday's game at Peoria and was removed from the game after re-injuring the same shoulder.
The roster moves leave the Kernels at the MWL maximum of 25 active players with four players currently listed on the DL.
