
Dean, Rodriguez Named Batavia Downs Players of the Week

Rochester Red Wings infielder/outfielder Reynaldo Rodriguez and pitcher Pat Dean have been named the Batavia Downs Gaming and Racetrack Players of the Week for the period of July 27-Aug. 2. Rodriguez has also been named the International League Batter of the Week for the same period - the sixth time this season a Red Wings player has been honored, most by any one team this season.
Rodriguez batted .385 (10-for-26) for the week, with 2 homers, 5 RBI, and 6 runs scored. He enters play Monday with a 10-game hitting streak, leading the league in runs scored and extra-base hits, and third in total bases and doubles.
Dean made two starts with a 1-1 record, pitching 17 innings and allowing 13 hits and just two earned runs, while striking out 11. Dean's 2.92 season ERA is sixth best in the league entering play Monday, and he leads the league in complete games (three), shutouts (two), and innings pitched (135 2/3 innings)

Signed by the Twins as a minor league free agent in December 2012...All-Star at Double-A New Britain in 2014...named the Twins minor league Player of the Month for June 2014 after hitting .311 (32-for-103) with eight doubles, six home runs, and 18 RBI in 27 games for New Britain...resides in Cartagena, Columbia in the offseason.
