NORFOLK, Va - The Louisville Bats (55-56) began a four game series with the Norfolk Tides (64-44) on Monday night and fell 3-2. The loss puts the Bats below .500 on the season again.

Left-hander John Lamb (0-1, 3.27) started on the bump for the Bats tossing scoreless baseball for six innings. The Bats put runs on the board first in the top of the sixth after four straight singles to lead off the inning, Brennan Boesch and Josh Satin recorded the RBI singles that gave the Bats a 2-0 lead.

Lamb exited the game in the seventh after the Tides led off the inning with a double and a single. Righty Drew Hayes (L, 4-3, 2.78) relieved him with no outs in the inning and gave up a sac fly to Michael Almanzar to cut the lead in half.

In Lamb's second start with the Bats, he went six innings, gave up just four hits, one earned run, walked three, and struck out six.

Norfolk took the 3-2 lead in the bottom of the eighth after an error by Hernan Iribarren that secured the win for the Tides.
