Dave Henderson, Troy Brown To Headline Celebrity Saturday

Brockton, Mass. - As part of the Brockton Rox ongoing "Celebrity Saturday" promotion, the club will be welcoming former Boston Red Sox outfielder *Dave Henderson *and former New England Patriots receiver *Troy Brown *to Campanelli Stadium in July.

Henderson will be on hand July 9 at Brockton's 7:05 p.m. game against the New York Federals. Best remembered for his home run in Game 5 of the 1986 American League Championship Series as a teammate of current Rox manager *Bill Buckner*, Henderson played 14 seasons in the majors for Seattle, Boston, San Francisco, Oakland, and Kansas City. He was also a member of the Athletics' 1989 World Series championship team and participated in the 1991 All-Star Game.

Brown will appear on July 23 as the Rox take on the Newark Bears at 7:05 p.m. A member of all three Patriots' Super Bowl championship teams, Brown spent 15 seasons with New England, was named an All-Pro wide receiver in 2001, and was selected into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2010.

Both players will throw out the ceremonial first pitch during their respective evenings, and will sign autographs on the concourse during the first few innings of the game.
