Danbury Area Appreciation This Sunday

BRIDGEPORT, CT - The American Hockey League's 2001-02 Regular Season Champion and Eastern Conference Playoff Champion Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, will hold "Danbury Area Appreciation Day" this Sunday, February 11th when they host the expansion San Antonio Rampage for the first time.

Danbury residents who show valid identification at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard box office can purchase a discounted ticket for $12.50 or a center-ice seat for $19.50. Discounted tickets are also on sale at the Danbury Ice Arena.

Sunday's festivities will include:
-Senator David Capiello taking part in a ceremonial pregame face-off.
-The national anthem being performed before the game by Nathalia Ribiero of Danbury Youth Services.
-An intermission mini-game featuring the Danbury Ice Arena mites.
-Prizes being raffled off by Colorado Break and Steak House.

The Sound Tigers will begin a stretch of eight games in ten days with three games in three days this weekend visiting the Providence Bruins tonight at 7:05 p.m. and the Springfield Falcons tomorrow at 7:35 p.m. before hosting San Antonio Sunday at 4:05 p.m. All Sound Tigers' games are broadcast live on "The ZONE" FOX Sports Radio 1300 AM and at www.soundtigers.com. WSTC/WNLK 1400/1350 AM also broadcasts road games.
