Rita Recalled by Oilers

The Edmonton Oilers, a parent club of the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs, have recalled left-winger Jani Rita from Hamilton.

Rita, a 21-year-old native of Helsinki, Finland, has played in 50 games with the Bulldogs this season posting 18 goals and 24 assists for 42 points, along with 16 penalty minutes. The 6'1", 206 pound forward has been recalled once already by the Oilers this season, earning one goal in six games. Rita's first NHL goal came against Detroit in Edmonton on January 22nd.

The Bulldogs are in Winnipeg tonight to play the Manitoba Moose in a re-match. Last night the Bulldogs defeated the Moose 4-2 and earned their franchise best 20th road win of the season. The Hamilton Bulldogs next home action takes place on Sunday, February 16th as the Cleveland Barons visit Copps Coliseum. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
