CINCINNATI, Ohio - The first group of inductees for the Cincinnati Hockey Hall of Fame that will be located in Cincinnati Gardens will be inducted Saturday during the first intermission of the Mighty Ducks 8:05 p.m. American Hockey League game with the Philadelphia Phantoms.

The inductees are former Swords and Stingers right wing Rick Dudley, Swords and Stingers coach Floyd Smith, Swords goaltender Rocky Farr, former Cyclone Don Biggs, former Mohawk Billy Goold, retired Cincinnati Post reporter Bob Queenan and the Cincinnati Enquirer's Jack Murray.

The inaugural class of Cincinnati Hockey Hall of Fame members were selected by Hall of Fame chairperson Sharon Asplan, Mighty Ducks VP of Communications Don Helbig and select members of the Cincinnati media. Future inductees will be selected by members of the Cincinnati Hockey Hall of Fame, select members of the Cincinnati media and fan balloting through the Mighty Ducks official Internet website at www.cincinnatimightyducks.com.

"When you come to Cincinnati, I don't think people realize the hockey history, the players and the talent level that's gone through here over the years," said Biggs, who had 147 goals and 297 assists for 444 points in 458 games over parts of seven seasons for the Cyclones.

"To be inducted into that first class with the type of people that are going in, it's quite an honor. I doesn't matter what Hockey Hall of Fame it is or what Hall of Fame it is, it's still a huge honor."

Inductees will be available to sign autographs for fans in the Legends Museum prior to the Ducks-Phantoms game.

The evening also will include the Mighty Ducks wearing Swords jerseys and a banner-raising ceremony to commemorate the 1972-73 Calder Cup championship team, presented by American Airlines.

The Swords jerseys will be auctioned off after the game. All proceeds will benefit the Anthony Munoz Foundation and Habitat for Humanity.

Tickets can be purchased at the Cincinnati Gardens Box Office.

Tickets can also be purchased by phone through Ticketmaster at (513) 562-4949 and at all area Ticketmaster outlets.

Ticket prices are $15, $12 and $10. Children age 12 and under can purchase any available seat for $7 when accompanied by a full-paying adult.
