Dan Milan Reassigned to Syracuse from Wichita

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned defenseman Dan Milan to the Syracuse Crunch from the Wichita Thunder (ECHL), Crunch general manager Julien BriseBois announced today.

Milan, 22, has played in all 36 games for Wichita this year, registering 10 assists, 82 penalty minutes and a minus-6 rating. The 6-foot-2, 206-lb. Detroit native m ade his AHL debut with the Crunch March 7, 2014, in a 4-1 loss at Rochester.

In the 2013-14 season, Milan played three games with the Florida Everblades (ECHL) and 50 contests with the Brampton Beast (CHL). With Brampton he recorded 10 points (2g, 8a), 108 penalty minutes and a minus-6 rating. In his first professional season, 2012-13, Milan played 43 games for the Everblades totaling eight points (2g, 6a), 56 penalty minutes and a plus-5 rating.

Prior to his pro career, Milan played 130 contests in the QMJHL, tallying 49 points (16g, 33a) with Moncton and Victoriaville.

The Crunch travel for three games this weekend, and next play at home Jan. 23 vs. Lehigh Valley and Jan. 24 vs. Hartford.
