Tulsa Oilers News Release

Tulsa Oilers Center Jim Dahl, who has been the Central Hockey league's leading rookie scorer for most of the season, has been named to the league's All-Rookie team for 2005-06.

"It's certainly great that Jimmy's getting recognized for his fantastic season," Oilers coach Butch Kaebel said. "He's become one of our team leaders on and off the ice. And the line with Jim, Henry Kuster and Jaroslav Cesky hss been one of the most consistent in the whole league all year. I think playing with those guys has really helped Jimmy's game. In fact, all three of them have benefitted from playing with each other. "

Dahl leads all CHL rookies in scoring with 81 points and in goals with 35. The six-foot, 200-pounder, from Minnetonka, Minnesota, also leads the entire league with six shorthanded goals.

The other forwards on the CHL All-Rookie team are Dominic Leveille of the Odessa Jackalopes and Michael Tucciarone of the Austin Ice Bats. The defensemen are Dale Lupul of the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs and Adam Rivet of the Laredo Bucks. The all rookie goalie is Dov Grumet-Morris, also of Laredo. The CHL All-Rookie team was selected in balloting by the CHL coaches.

The Oilers return to action Friday March 24th against the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs at 7:35. That will be Cox Communications rally towel night, with the first 1,000 fans receiving a free towel from Cox Communications.
