Oakley CHL Player and Goaltender of the Week Announced

Laredo left winger Chris Grenville and Colorado netminder Paulo Colaiacovo have today been announced as the recipients of the Oakley CHL Player and Goaltender of the Week awards for Week 22 of the CHL season. Grenville had 10 points in three Laredo victories, while Colaiacovo stopped 95 of 99 shots in winning three starts for Colorado.
Grenville started his weekend on Friday by recording an assists in the Bucks 3-1 home victory over Memphis. Saturday night Grenville led a Bucks rally as he tallied his first hat trick of the season in a 7-4 come from behind road win over Austin, scoring twice in 11 seconds in the second period to set a franchise record for fastest two goals scored. Sunday Grenville posted his second straight hat trick and added another assist as the Bucks beat the visiting Corpus Christi Rayz 6-2. Grenville leads the Bucks with 32 goals and is now the Bucks franchise leader in total hat tricks with five.
Colaiacovo earns Goaltender of the Week honors for the third time this season, improving his record to 29-9-3 with three road victories. He combined to stop 95 of 99 shots in the three wins, and posted his third shutout by making 31 saves in a 3-0 win at Youngstown on March 17th. Aside from his CHL-leading 29 wins, Colaiacovo also ranks among the top 10 CHL goaltenders in goals against average (2.62, T-6th), save percentage (.917, 9th), shutouts (3, T-2nd) and saves (1159, 10th), and was named one of six finalists for 2005-2006 CHL Most Outstanding Goaltender honors this season.
