Czarnowczan and Tvrdon Head to Grand Rapids

Toledo, OH - Defenseman Scott Czarnowczan (ZAR-now-zan) and forward Marek Tvrdon (TA-ver-den) have been reassigned to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL.

Tvrdon has been outstanding this season for the Walleye scoring his sixth goal in yesterday's 2-1 overtime loss to Greenville. The 21-year-old also has 18 assists this season while playing as a plus seven in 24 contests. The native of Nitra, Slovakia appeared in 22 games last season for Toledo with nine goals and four assists and also appeared in one game for the Griffins with no points.

Czarnowczan has appeared in 16 games so far this season with the Walleye and has collected one goal and thirteen assists. The native of Macomb, Michigan has appeared in one game for the Griffins so far this year. The 23-year-old spent the last four seasons at Ferris State University where he posted nine goals and 54 assists in 141 games. He was also a plus 38 in his college career.

Grand Rapids is at home on Friday against Lake Erie and then they skate in Lake Erie on Saturday.
