Greenville Swamp Rabbits News Release

Cincinnati, OH- Jason Missiaen stopped all 22 shots he faced on Wednesday to backstop the Greenville Road Warriors (16-9-1), proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, to a 3-0 shutout of the Cincinnati Cyclones (9-9-4) at the U.S. Bank Arena. The shutout was Missiaen's first of the season and seventh of his professional career.

With the victory, Missiaen is now 3-0-1 in his last four starts with an impressive 0.97 goals against average and .971 save percentage during that span.

The win also extended the Road Warriors' point streak to a season-high seven games, which is the longest streak since Greenville produced points in eight straight from Jan. 5, 2013 - Jan. 26, 2013.

Greenville opened the scoring with its first shot of the game when Michael St. Croix netted his fourth goal of the season at 6:29 of the first period. From the left side, Josh Nicholls fed the puck to Kyle Jean at the doorstep, who sent a sharp pass to the back post where St. Croix punched it home.

Spencer Humphries extended the Road Warriors' lead at 14:27 of the middle frame with his first-career ECHL goal. From behind the net, Nicholls sent a backhand pass to Humphries at the right circle for a one-timer that squeezed between the near post and goaltender Rob Madore.

With less than two minutes to go in the third period, the Cyclones pulled Madore for the extra attacker, but were unable to capitalize on three shots. Instead, Tyler Brown sealed the win with an empty netter at the 19:37 mark for his seventh goal this season.

The contest saw one fight when Emerson Clark, celebrating his 22nd birthday, dropped the gloves with Jaynen Rissling at 5:10 of the second period.

The Road Warriors finished the game 0-for-3 on the power play and 3-for-3 on the penalty kill. Madore made 21 saves and suffered the loss, while Nicholls earned two assists for his fourth multi-point game this season.

Greenville outshot Cincinnati 24-22.
