
Cyclones Sign Forward Felix Petit

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The 2008 Kelly Cup champion Cincinnati Cyclones announced today that they have signed forward Felix Petit to a contract. The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators.
Petit, 20, signed with the Cyclones at the conclusion of the 2008-09 season for Baie-Comeau of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). In 68 regular season games, he collected 25 goals and 65 assists for 90 points. He also notched four power play goals, a shorthanded score and three game winning goals.
The five-foot-eight, 175 pounder from Jonquiere, QUE played in 273 games during his four junior seasons, collecting 86 goals and 202 assists for 288 points and 132 penalty minutes. Petit scored 24 power play goals, chipped in a pair of shorthanded scores and added nine game winning markers. He also had 72 multiple point games in the QMJHL and eleven multiple goal games to go with four hat tricks.
He was also a member of the 2005-06 Memorial Cup championship team with Quebec. A club that featured former Cyclones Cedrrick Desjardins and Joe Ryan.
Petit practiced with the Cyclones this morning and could be in uniform for tonight's game against Johnstown. The game will be carried on the club's website at: www.cycloneshockey.com. The pregame show airs at 7:15pm.
