Cyclones Receive Pair From AHL

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators, announced this afternoon they have received goaltender Robert Mayer and defenseman Jason Jozsa from the American Hockey League. Both players are eligible to play in tonight's game against the Wheeling Nailers at U.S. Bank Arena at 7:30pm.

Mayer, 20, is in his rookie season and has been with the Montreal Canadiens affiliate, the Hamilton Bulldogs. Robert has played in 14 games with Cincinnati this season and has a 9-5 record with a shutout. His 2.67 goals against average is 13th best among ECHL goaltenders.

Jozsa, 28, has been with the Milwaukee Admirals, the AHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators. He has seen action in five games with Milwaukee and picked up a pair of penalty minutes. Jason has appeared in 24 games with the Cyclones, netting three goals and dishing off eleven assists for 14 points. His goal in overtime at Kalamazoo on December 27 was the difference in a 3-2 victory.

The Cyclones host Wheeling tonight, while Kalamazoo visits tomorrow (Wednesday, January 13) on a 'Wet Wednesday' promotion. The club is at Johnstown on Friday (1530 Homer- The Sports Animal will carry the 7:05pm contest) and Toledo arrives for Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, where active members of the armed forces with valid ID are admitted for $7.

The Cyclones have selected Friday night games carried on 1530 Homer - The Sports Animal and all contests aired on their website at www.cycloneshockey.com. The next radio game on 1530 Homer - The Sports Animal is tonight at 7:30pm when the squad tries to win a club record eighth consecutive road game against Wheeling.
