Lammers Called Up, Dahm Re-Assigned
January 12, 2010 - ECHL (ECHL)
Alaska Aces News Release
ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Alaska Aces have announced that ECHL All-Star winger John Lammers has been loaned to Providence (AHL) while goalie Sebastian Dahm has been re-assigned by Peoria (AHL) to Bloomington (IHL).
The 23-year-old Lammers, who had been scheduled to appear in the ECHL All-Star Game next Wednesday, currently leads the league with nine power play goals among his 20 for the season (tied for third in the ECHL). He also sits in a tie for 14th overall in scoring with 35 points despite having played in only 25 ECHL games as a result of an early-season call-up to Manitoba. Lammers, who had at least a point in seven of Alaska's last eight contests, appeared in 11 games for the Moose without a point and recorded two minutes in penalties. He will practice with Providence beginning Wednesday and will be available to play when the Bruins visit Bridgeport Friday night.
Dahm went 6-10 in 17 appearances with the Aces, absorbing three of his 10 defeats in relief of Scott Reid, who took the loss Saturday in Alaska's last outing. Dahm posted a 3.20 goals against average and a.901 save percentage with the Aces and finished runner-up for ECHL Goaltender of the Week honors when he beat Victoria twice to open the 2009-10 season. The Prairie Thunder compete in the International Hockey League (comprised of teams formerly in the United Hockey League). He will be available to start for Bloomington tomorrow night against Dayton.
Alaska (16-18-3) still owns a 5-2-1 record on its current homestand despite last Saturday's loss to Utah. The Aces play host to Las Vegas (unbeaten in its last 10 games heading into tonight's game at Victoria) this Friday and Saturday night at 7:15 p.m. Both games will be broadcast live on KFQD 750 AM, with the Peanut Farm Pre-Game Show getting underway 15 minutes prior to face-off each night.
