Elmira Jackals News Release
The Elmira Jackals will take to the road for the next five games, but that does not mean that First Arena will be idle. The action, in fact, is just getting underway, as X-Treme International Ice Racing presented by Buckley's Automotive and Knappy's Auto Body makes its way back to First Arena this upcoming Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
Last season, X-treme Ice Racing sold out both nights at First Arena, and left three time world-champion rider Anthony "The British Bulldog" Barlow professing his gratitude to Elmira.
"The fans here last year were great and it was a blast racing in front of fans in Elmira. The crowd was really into it, and I can't wait to come back next year," he said.
Next year is now. Barlow and more of the world's top ice racers will bring their action-packed, heart-racing battles to First Arena. There are no brakes in the bikes or quads, which leads to a night of pure adrenaline.
world, and always has its audiences in a frenzy!
Once X-Treme Ice Racing ends, preparations begin for Wine On Ice, which will take place on Friday, Jan. 22 and Saturday, Jan. 23 over three sessions. Wine On Ice, presented by WENY-TV, is a winter sampling of the Finger Lakes' best in wine, food, shopping and entertainment.

(ANOTHER) BIG WEEKEND ON THE HORIZON
It seems like every time the Jackals and Reading Royals square off against each other that so much is at stake. With the Jackals having won six of their last nine games, they have another chance to climb closer to the top spot in the American East Division with their games in Reading on Friday and Saturday.
The last time the two teams played in Reading, the Jackals turned in one of their best performances of the season with a 7-1 win over the Royals.
Fans interested in seeing Saturday's game in Reading can tag along with the Elmira Jackals Booster Club. For information about the trip, visit JackalsBoosterClub.com
The Jackals conclude their weekend with a game on Sunday in Wheeling against the Nailers.
GRATCHEV FEATURED ON NHL.COM
Rookie forward Maxime Gratchev, currently on loan from the Jackals to the Binghamton Senators, was featured today in an NHL.com article by Lindsay Kramer. Gratchev, who is second in the ECHL in rookie scoring with 34 points in 29 games, is one of two Jackals who will make their way for the American Conference to the upcoming 2010 ECHL All-Star Game presented by Reebok and brought to you by Toyota and the City of Ontario.

Since playing in his first game with the Jackals on Nov. 20, Tifu is second in the ECHL in scoring with 31 points (12g-19a).
