INAUGURAL CYCLONES DIAPER DERBY

TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: Tonight the Cyclones will look to exact some revenge as they welcome in the Reading Royals to U.S. Bank Arena for the first time since last spring's Eastern Conference Finals. The Royals are one of the most familiar non-division foes for Cincinnati, with the Clones owning an all-time record of 31-19-5-4. Tonight is the first of four 2013-14 regular season match-ups.

TONIGHT'S PROMOTION: CHRIS REED KIDS JERSEY T-SHIRT - The first 1,500 fans ages 2-12 through the gates will receive a Cyclones Kids Jersey T-Shirt of defenseman #27 Chris Reed!

SCOUTING THE ROYALS: Larry Courville's club has won three straight games and seven out of their last ten after knocking off the Fort Wayne Komets last night. They currently hold a four-point edge over the Wheeling Nailers in the Atlantic Division standings. Stanislav Galiev and Louis Caporusso are atop the Royals scoring leaderboard with 13 points apiece. Each has also scored a game-winner this season. Between the pipes, last year's Kelly Cup Playoff MVP Riley Gill has shouldered the bulk of the workload this season, going 6-2-0 with a 2.10 goals-against average. Brandon Anderson, meanwhile, has gone 3-2-0 with a shutout and a solid 1.82 GAA.

About Last Night in Evansville: The IceMen put up just enough offense to squeak past the Cyclones by a 6-5 final score in front of 4,421 at Ford Center. Barry Almeida had a pair of goals to lead the Cyclones offensively. It was the first time in the season series that Evansville claimed victory.

The Captain Approaches 100: Cincy Captain David MacDonald needs just seven more games to reach 100 in his professional career. He has amassed 30 points (9g, 21a) in his pro career - all but one of them coming in a Cyclones jersey.

Nail Biters: The Cyclones are no strangers to close encounters this season. Nine of their 13 games have been decided by a single goal. They have gone 7-2 in those situations. In fact, 11 of their 13 games have been decided by two goals or less.
