
Cyclones Deal Derek Foam, Activate David Leaderer

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators announced today that they have traded defenseman Derek Foam to the Wheeling Nailers in exchange for future considerations. In a separate transaction, defenseman David Leaderer was activated from the injured reserve list.
Foam logged 21 games on the ice with Cincinnati this season, posting a total of four points. His first-career ECHL goal came on February 1 against Toledo.
Leaderer has been out of the lineup since February 8 after suffering from post-concussion symptoms. Prior to the injury, the 25-year-old amassed five goals and 12 assists in 39 games. He is expected to be in the lineup today against Toledo.
The Cyclones kick off an eight-game road trip this afternoon in Toledo with a 5:30pm opening face-off. Fans can hear all the action of the tilt on the Cyclones Radio Network (Real Talk 1160, America One) beginning at 5:15pm.
The Cyclones will return to U.S. Bank Arena on Wednesday, March 21 when they welcome in the Chicago Express at 7:30pm. It will be the final Wet Wednesday of the season, featuring $1 PBR and Miller High Life. In addition, a pre-game Pucks N Pinot wine tasting event will be available for purchase.
