Cincinnati Cyclones News Release

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens and Nashville Predators, announced today that forward Matt Syroczynski (pronounced SEER-oh-zihn-skee) has agreed to terms with the club.

Syroczynski, 24, played last season with Fort Wayne (UHL) and collected 20 goals and 21 assists for 41 points and 106 penalty minutes in 73 games. After being held without a point in his first 15 games, Matt exploded by scoring 28 points (12-16-28) over the next 28 games. The highlight of the season for Syroczynski was scoring three goals in the 6-1 win versus Bloomington on Jan. 20.

"Having a guy like Matt Syroczynski gives us a 'power forward' type of player," Cyclones Head Coach Chuck Weber said. "He's a big guy who will help out in front of the net on the power play and will be an asset all the way around."

The signing of Syroczynski gives the Cyclones 20 players on the active roster for the season opening game at Dayton on Saturday (Oct. 20) at 7pm.

Tickets for the 2007-08 Cincinnati Cyclones season are now on sale. Ticket packages start as low as $66, call the Cyclones at 513-421-PUCK (7825) for more details. The Cyclones home opener is on Friday, October 26 versus the Trenton Devils at U.S. Bank Arena.
