Cutters Swept By Muckdogs

The Crosscutters surrendered a season-high 13 runs on a season-high 17 hits in their 13-5 loss to Batavia, as Williamsport was unable to avoid the series sweep.

Francisco Morales suffered his shortest start of the season, allowing six runs on six hits over two innings of work. He allowed back-to-back home runs in the 2nd inning, the first two home runs he has allowed in 2018.

Tyler Carr allowed three runs on five hits, including a home run, over three innings of relief. Oscar Marcelino allowed four runs on three hits and three walks in two innings of work. Jose Jimenez worked two shutout innings for the Cutters.

Ben Pelletier finished the night 2 for 5 with a two-run home run, his 2nd of the season, giving him 18 RBI.

Madison Stokes recorded his first three-hit night, going 3 for 5 with a RBI double and three runs scored.

It was the second time this season that the Cutters have been swept in a series at home. Being swept by the Auburn Doubledays in the beginning of July.

Rafael Marchan had his 17-game on base streak & 8-game hit streak come to an end, finishing 0-3.
