Williamsport Crosscutters News Release

Williamsport Crosscutters catcher Bob Stumpo is a candidate for the best name in all of Minor League Baseball in the 5th Annual MiLB.com Moniker Madness bracket-style tournament.

A total of 64 players with unique or interesting names have been selected for the tournament.

When notified of his inclusion in the tournament Stumpo said, "I'm not sure what to think. But since I'm in it, I want to win it!"

"This is the first time the Williamsport Crosscutters have had a current player in the contest," said Gabe Sinicropi, the team's VP of Marketing and Public Relations. "We're going to do our best to spread the word far and wide to help Stump advance to the next round."

Stumpo is the #5 seed in the Icicle Reader Bracket and is matched against Angelberth Montilla of the Auburn Doubledays. Round one voting ends on August 7.

To vote, fans are urged to go to www.minorleaguebaseball.com/madness. Fans can vote more than once and are urged to share their votes via the social network links provided on the voting page.
