August 2, 2011 - New York-Penn League (NYPL)
Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Williamsport Crosscutters game against the Brooklyn Cyclones this Thursday, August 4 will be televised live by SNY-TV, the flagship station of the NY Mets. The game, to be played at Brooklyn's MCU Park, fills a gap in the programming schedule for SNY with the Mets having an off-day.
The game will be announced by Kevin Burkhart who appears on Mets telecasts and former Mets pitcher Bob Ojeda. Ojeda works alongside former Williamsport play-by-play voice Chris Carlin on the NY Mets pre and post game shows on SNY each night.
The broadcast is scheduled to begin at 7pm. SNY and the Cyclones are both owed by the New York Mets.
SNY-TV is available on DIRECTV and Dish Network along with selected area cable providers.
SNY host Chris Carlin got his start with the Williamsport Cubs as their play-by-play broadcaster in 1994 and 1995. Carlin is the co-host of "Loudmouths" every weeknight at 6pm on the network along with hosting the NY Mets pre and post game shows.
