Crosscutters RHP Mitch Gueller faced three batters in the fifth but could not get an out. Battling control issues all game Gueller allowed six runs on seven hits and walked five in suffering his first loss of the season.
Cord Sandberg extended his hitting streak to ten games with three hits including two doubles.
Jan Hernandez hit his first home run of the season in the ninth making the final score 9-3.
