Altoona Curve News Release
PORTLAND, ME- The Altoona Curve's game on Wednesday night at Portland was postponed due to heavy rains in the state of Maine. The game has been rescheduled as part of a 6 PM doubleheader Thursday night at Hadlock Field in Portland.
Altoona (34-24), which has dropped six of its last seven games, will send left-hander Mike Connolly (5-3, 4.30) to the mound in the first game, while newcomer Matt Lorenzo will make his Curve debut in the nightcap. Portland (33-22), which has won six consecutive games, will send lefty Kason Gabbard (6-2, 3.35) to the hill in game one and knuckleballer Charlie Zink in the second game.
Following Thursday's doubleheader, the Curve will travel to New Hampshire to play a three-game weekend series against the Fisher Cats before returning to Pennsylvania on Monday to play a single game against the Reading Phillies at Philadelphia's Citizens Bank Park.
