
Crescenzi's Three-Point Game Pushes Reign over Gulls

STORYLINE: Forward Andrew Crescenzi scored two goals and an assist as the Ontario Reign extended their point streak to five games (4-0-0-1) with a 4-1 victory over the San Diego Gulls at Valley View Casino Center Saturday night.
GAME TIMELINE: - Reign forward Jonny Brodzinski opens the scoring 6:20 into the contest, smashing a rolling puck past Gulls netminder Kevin Boyle. Forward Michael Mersch and defenseman Zac Leslie add assists. - Defenseman Alex Lintuniemi made it 2-0 Ontario at 14:56 of the opening frame, skipping in first goal of the season from defenseman Stepan Falkovsky and forward Andrew Crescenzi. - In the second period, the Reign held the Gulls to a season-low zero shots on goal and rifled 16 of their own on target, but the contest remained 2-0 after 40 minutes. - Reign forward Andrew Crescenzi picked up his first goal of the season 3:20 into the third period to claim a three-goal advantage. Forward Jamie Devane and Falkovsky add assists. - San Diego jumps on the scoreboard with a power-play goal from defenseman Keaton Thompson at 15:07 of the third period. - Crescenzi seals the Reign victory with his third point of the contest, potting an empty-net goal at 19:27.
