Iowa Wild News Release
DES MOINES, IA - The Iowa Wild, in conjunction with Brett Young, announced Sunday the Billboard "Country Artist to Watch in 2017" will perform live after the Iowa Wild home game at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, presented by Principal Financial Group, NASH FM 97.3 and NASH Icon 92.5.
"We are excited to expand our concert series and provide fans the opportunity to enjoy two unique entertainment options for the price of one hockey ticket," said Iowa Wild President Todd Frederickson.
Named as the only Country act on Shazam's "Emerging Artists of 2017," Brett Young has captured the hearts of fans everywhere through his honest lyrics and West Coast-meets-Southern sound. The CMA New Artist of the Year nominee released his self-titled, GOLD-certified debut album on BMLG Records earlier this year. The album was recorded in Nashville with producer Dan Huff (Keith Urban, Thomas Rhett, Steven Tyler) and features 11 of the 12 tracks co-written by Brett, including his current single " Like I Loved You " and the No. 1 PLATINUM-certified debut " Sleep Without You ."
Brett's follow-up single, a Billboard and Mediabase No. 1 hit " In Case You Didn't Know," solidified Brett as the first Country artist to hit the 2X PLATINUM-certification sales mark with a song released in 2017.
The California native launched his own headlining CALIVILLE Tour this fall after joining Lady Antebellum's YOU LOOK GOOD WORLD TOUR 2017 and Luke Bryan's KILL THE LIGHTS TOUR earlier this year.
The concert headlines Country Night, also sponsored by AVS Concepts, Jim Beam Vanilla and Catch Des Moines.
Fans with tickets to the Iowa Wild game on March 31 may remain in their seats for the postgame Brett Young concert. Fans must have a ticket to the game to see the concert. Tickets start at only $16 and can be purchased at the Wells Fargo Arena Box Office and online at HyVeeTix.com.
VIP packages will be available for purchase at a later date.
Prior to the Brett Young concert, the Wild hosts the Tuscon Roadrunners for a 6 p.m. puck drop on March 31. Fans can also enjoy Jim Beam Night, presented by NASH FM, with $5 Jim Beam Vanilla or $10 Jim Beam Vanilla in a mason jar. The Brewdog Pack, sponsored by Legends American Grill, will be available for purchase at an elevated price.
The Wild hosts the Cleveland Monsters tomorrow (Nov. 12) for the second half of a weekend contest and Pucks N Paws.
The Iowa Wild 2017-18 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center and runs from October through April. For more information, please contact the Wild front office by calling 515-564-8700 or by visiting www.iowawild.com .
