HICKORY, NC- The Crawdads completed the homestand sweep with a 14-5 dismantling of the Kannapolis Intimidators on Monday, extending their season-high winning streak to eight straight games. Hickory will also be well represented at the 2012 SAL All-Star Game on Tuesday, June 19 in Charleston, with five players named to the Northern Division Team.
The Crawdads are 31-25 this season and are currently in 3rd place in the Northern Division, 8.5 games behind the 1st-Place Greensboro Grasshoppers.

Five 'Dads named to 2012 SAL All-Star Game!
The South Atlantic League on Tuesday announced the rosters for the 2012 SAL All-Star Game, and the Crawdads will be represented by five players on the Northern Division Team - INF Hanser Alberto, OF Chris Grayson, RHP Phil Klein, RHP Nick Martinez and LHP Victor Payano. The only team with more representatives on the Northern Division Team are the Greensboro Grasshoppers, who will send a league-high eight players. The All-Star Game will take place on Tuesday, June 19 in Charleston, South Carolina at 7:30 p.m.
PLAYER AND TEAM NOTES:
-The Crawdads are on a season-high eight-game winning streak and have won 10 of their last 11 games
- The Crawdads are 25-3 when allowing four or less runs
-The Crawdads are 25-1 when leading after six innings
-INF Hanser Alberto is 2nd in the league with a .347 batting average
-Alberto is hitting .424 (14-for-33) in his last nine games
-Alberto leads the team with a .406 average (28-for-69) with 33 RBIs with runners in scoring position
-INF Luis Sardinas is currently on a season-high 15-game hitting streak, with 23 hits since May 14
-OF Chris Grayson is hitting .412 with five runs scored in the month of June
-OF Zach Cone is hitting .375 (15-for-40) with four home runs, 12 RBIs and 13 runs
-C Kellin Deglan has thrown out a league-leading 43% of base stealers this season (20-for-46)
