Crane scores two, including overtime game-winner, as Lynx post 3-2 win

AUGUSTA, GA – The Greenville Grrrowl erased a 2-0 third period deficit with goals 2:16 apart, but Ryan Crane scored his second goal of the night with 41 seconds left in overtime and the Austa Lynx beat the Greenville Grrrowl 3-2 in front of 3,648 at the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center Friday night.

Moments after Martin Lapointe thought he gave Augusta a 1-0 lead, Ryan Crane put the Lynx on the board as he beat MICHAEL GARNETT with a slapshot from the top of the left faceoff circle at 11:27 of the first period. Tyson Holly gave Augusta a 2-0 lead at 17:53 of the second period, before goals from WES BLEVINS and JUDD MEDAK just 2:16 apart in the third period tied the game, 2-2.

Ryan Crane scored his second of the night from the top of the left circle at 4:19 of overtime, and the Lynx beat the Grrrowl 3-2. GARNETT stopped 32 of 35 shots for the Grrrowl, while veteran Tom Draper recorded 22 saves and the win for Augusta. The Grrrowl now have a 6-point lead over Augusta for the final playoff spot in the Southeast Division with 4 games remaining.
