Country Artist, Cavs and Browns Players to Appear at Upcoming Monsters Games
Published on January 10, 2011 under American Hockey League (AHL)
Cleveland Monsters News Release
When fans in Northeast Ohio come to Quicken Loans Arena for Lake Erie Monsters games, they are usually entertained by the fast-paced hockey action, the MonSquad and Sully and the face painting and poster making on the concourse. At three particular upcoming Monsters games, fans will be entertained by all of that and so much more. Fans will enjoy a concert from country crooner James Otto; have the chance to meet Cleveland Cavaliers players Daniel Gibson and Anderson Varejao; and have the opportunity to get autographs from Cleveland Browns players Joshua Cribbs, Joe Haden and T.J. Ward.
Fresh off his 2010 tour with country superstars Toby Keith and Trace Adkins, breakout artist James Otto will be entertaining the crowd at The Q on Saturday, January 29th when he hosts a free postgame concert. Otto is best known for his 2008 smash hit "Just Got Started Loving You," which was the number one country single on the Billboard charts that year. Otto most recently released his third studio album, Shake What God Gave Ya. A ticket to that night's 7:30 p.m. game against Hamilton will allow fans admittance to Otto's postgame concert.
Saturday, February 12th will be Cavaliers Night at the Monsters game, presented by Time Warner Cable. Guard Daniel "Boobie" Gibson and forward/center Anderson "Wild Thing" Varejao will both take part in a free pregame autograph session before the Monsters host Grand Rapids at 7:30 p.m. As part of Cavs Night, the first 5,000 fans to the game will also receive a free one-of-a-kind Joe Tait bobblehead.
The Cleveland sports celebrations will continue on Saturday, February 26th when the Monsters host Browns Night. For this one night only, the full Monsters team will be donning Browns-inspired uniforms when they take the ice against Grand Rapids at 7:30 p.m. The game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off for charity after the game. Before the game, fans will be treated to a free autograph session with wide receiver Joshua Cribbs, defensive back Joe Haden and free safety T.J. Ward of the Cleveland Browns.
