Countdown to Faceoff
December 9, 2005 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
After a game at Wings Stadium on Wednesday, the Kalamazoo Wings are back on the road, this time at the Family Arena against the Missouri River Otters. Tonight is first of two consecutive games in the "Show Me" state for the K-Wings against the River Otters; both teams will also face each other tomorrow night.
With a 4-0 victory over Flint on Wednesday, the K-Wings have once again positioned themselves in a tie with the Muskegon Fury for first place in the Central Division. A good reason for the K-Wings success has been forward Tyler Rennette, who has registered a point in each of his last eight games.
After dropping their first eight games at home, the Missouri River Otters have rattled off two straight wins at the Family Arena. The Otters are also 2-0-0 since the signing of forward Jim Duhart. In two games with Missouri, Duhart has registered two goals and three assists.
