Countdown to Face-Off
March 30, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
In what could be a preview of a possible playoff matchup, the Kalamazoo Wings will travel to the Sears Centre to battle the Chicago Express. On the season, Kalamazoo is 5-7-0-2 against Chicago and the Express is the only team in the North Division the K-Wings have a losing record against.
Securing the third seed in the Eastern Conference, it is now a waiting game for the K-Wings to see who they will meet in the first round of the Kelly Cup playoffs. With six teams still able to make claim to the sixth seed, Kalamazoo may have to wait until tomorrow night to know their opponent.
A possible first round opponent for Kalamazoo could be Chicago. With 77 points, the Express are in three way tie for seventh place in the conference and are just two points ahead of the Cincinnati Cyclones, who are in 10th place and will play Chicago tomorrow night.
