TONIGHT'S MATCHUP: Tonight the Cyclones postseason future hangs in the balance as they welcome in the Toledo Walleye for the final time this season. With a loss in Chicago on Wednesday night, Cincinnati now sits on the outside of they playoff bubble looking in and will need a pair of wins this weekend to give themselves a chance to vie for another Kelly Cup. This season against their I-75 rivals, the Cyclones have earned a 6-5-1 record including a 3-1-0 mark at U.S. Bank Arena.

SCOUTING THE EXPRESS: Nick Vitucci's club is mathematically out of postseason contention, thanks in part to a five-game losing that streak they are currently suffering through. In fact, they've only won two games out of their last ten. However, that doesn't mean they don't possess some dangerous offensive weapons. Joey Martin has been the biggest Cyclone killer this season, posting 14 points (5 goals, 9 assists) in the 12 meetings this year. Overall, Martin has amassed 47 points (20 goals, 27 assists) in 61 contests. After having spent some time in the American Hockey League, goaltender Alec Richards is back between the pipes for Toledo. This season in the ECHL, Richards has earned an 8-11-0-1 record with a 3.68 goals-against average. Versus the Cyclones, Richards has been unbeaten in three tries with a stingy 1.95 GAA.

About Wednesday Night in Chicago: The Express jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and never looked back as they defeated the Cyclones by a 4-1 final score in front of 3,663 at Sears Centre. Anthony Luciani scored Cincinnati's lone goal in the defeat as Chicago took over second place in the North Division standings.

Eastern Conference Playoff Race: The top eight teams at season's end earn a Kelly Cup Playoff bid.

Early Lead = Win: Jarrod Skalde's team has scored the game's first goal on 35 occasions - the seventh most of any team in the league. In such situations, they have amassed an impressive 23-8-1-3 record. Their winning percentage is an astounding 85.3% when scoring the first two-goals of the game, a 13-1-0-3 mark. Their 76 first period goals ranks third most in the ECHL.

Goulet Goin' Strong: Cincinnati defenseman Alain Goulet has been a consistent offensive producer for the team of late. While he had his six-game assist streak snapped last Sunday, he has still logged points in six of his last eight games. Overall, he has nine points in 14 games since joining the Cyclones.
