Aces Announce First Playoff Home Dates

The Alaska Aces are pleased to announce that they will host Games 1 & 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals on Friday, April 13th and Saturday, April 14th at 7:15pm at Sullivan Arena. The games will be the first for the Aces in the 2012 Kelly Cup Playoffs, after receiving an opening-round bye as the regular season Western Conference Champions. Individual tickets to playoff games will go on sale at 9am AKT on Monday morning, and are available at the Aces office, located at the corner of 15th Ave. and Gambell St. Tickets are also available at the Sullivan Arena Box Office, Fred Meyer stores, or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Individual tickets begin at just $15, and discounts are available for groups of 10 or more. Fans can also still purchase playoff season tickets for a discount, to ensure they have the same seat for each home game of the Aces Kelly Cup Playoff Season. Fans who have already pre-ordered their tickets can pick up tickets for April 13th and 14th at the Aces office, beginning Monday morning, April 2nd.
The Aces are back in the post-season for the ninth consecutive time since joining the ECHL, and have secured their fifth conference championship and second in a row. They are closing in on their third ever - and second consecutive - Brabham Cup title as ECHL regular season champions, which would assure the team of being the higher seed throughout the playoffs. With the opening-round bye, Alaska has made the second round of the playoffs for the eighth time in nine years. Alaska's opponent in the Conference Semifinals has yet to be determined. The Aces will host the winner of the #4 vs. #5 Western Conference opening round matchup, which will be either the Colorado Eagles, Stockton Thunder, or Utah Grizzlies.
The Aces finish their season this weekend by visiting the Ontario Reign and are one point away from clinching their second straight Brabham Cup. The regular season Western Conference Champion Aces return back home for the Conference Semifinals in April.
