For the second time in less than 24 hours, the Kalamazoo Wings will lace up their skates to take on the Elmira Jackals. Kalamazoo defeated Elmira last night 6-1 and as a result leads the season series over the Jackals with a record of 5-2-0-0
Closing in on their second North Division title, the K-Wings need one more points to secure home ice advantage in round one of the playoffs. Concluding a three-game road swing, Kalamazoo can clinch the division title with either a victory or a loss in either overtime or a shootout.
This afternoon will close out the home portion of the Jackals schedule. So far this season, Elmira is 17-14-3-1 at the First Arena. After losing by five goals last night, the Jackals will receive a boost to their lineup, forward Justin Donati, who leads the league with 94 points, returns from his league suspension.
