Anchorage, Alaska - The Alaska Aces (44-21-2-1) defeated the Utah Grizzlies (32-29-4-3) 4-1 Saturday night in Anchorage as a 1-0 Utah lead in the first period went by the board.

Andrew Engelage fed Ryley Grantham (3) up ice as Utah took a 1-0 lead 2:19 into the first period as Grantham buried a shot from the left circle on the Grizzlies second chance of the night.

The Utah lead held until Alaska took the momentum with three goals in a 4:03 span early in the second period and led 3-1 at the second intermission before adding a late power-play goal to make it 4-1.

Engelage stopped 24 of 28 in the game.

Utah and Alaska meet again Sunday at 4:05 p.m. in Anchorage.

The Grizzlies return to Maverik Center to complete the regular season Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2 for Fan Appreciation Weekend. Face-off both nights is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
