For the third straight day, the Kalamazoo Wings will cross paths with divisional rival, the Wheeling Nailers. The K-Wings have won the past three encounters against the Nailers and lead the season series over Wheeling with a record of 4-2-0-1.
With their victory last night, Kalamazoo extended their unbeaten in regulation streak to 16 games (13-0-0-3). Besides the unbeaten streak, the K-Wings, who are playing their second contest of a four-game home stand, are unbeaten in regulation at Wings Stadium in their last eight contests (7-0-0-1).
Suffering back-to-back losses this weekend to the K-Wing, the Nailers are now 10 points behind Kalamazoo for the first place in the North Division. With 65 points, Wheeling enters the day tied with the Gwinnett Gladiators for seventh place in the Eastern Conference, two points ahead of the Cincinnati Cyclones.

Forwards Andrew Fournier and Kory Karlander have been on a scoring tear. Fournier is currently on a seven-game point streak; while Karlander has registered at least a point in five straight games.

Kalamazoo enters today unbeaten in regulation in 16 straight (13-0-0-3) games and on a season-high eight-game home unbeaten streak (7-0-0-1). The 16-game streak is not only a team-high, but it's also the longest unbeaten streak this season in the ECHL.
