Kalamazoo Wings News Release
A rivalry will be rekindled over the next two days, as the Kalamazoo Wings and Toledo Walleye commence a home-and-home series. On the season, Kalamazoo is 4-2-2-2 against Toledo. After tonight, the teams will return to Wings Stadium tomorrow to finish their two game mini-series.
Victorious last night, the K-Wings earned two points and climbed into a second place tie with the Wheeling Nailers in the North Division. With 56 points, Kalamazoo is nine points behind Cincinnati (four games in hand) for first place and lead Toledo by two points for second (three games in hand).
Looking to snap a season-high four-game losing streak, the Walleye have struggled earning just two wins in their last nine games. Concluding a brief two-game home stand this evening, Toledo will begin a season-high seven-game road trip tomorrow in Kalamazoo.
