Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers(r) (20-23-5, 45 Points) defeated the Bakersfield Condors (26-15-5, 57 Points) 6-5 in overtime in front of 4,183 fans Friday night at the Orleans Arena.

Ten different Wranglers recorded at least one point, and defenseman John Schwarz tallied the game-winner at the 2:04 mark of overtime as the Wranglers moved into sole possession of third place in the Pacific Division. Alex Bourret led all Wranglers scorers with a goal and two assists. Chris Neiszner, Kyle Hagel and Jason Krischuk also scored. Mathieu Aubin led the Condors with two goals. Joel Gistedt made 31 saves for his second win of the season while Timo Pielmeier stopped 34 shots in the loss.

The Wranglers jumped out to an early lead as Chris Neiszner scored on a rebound less than two minutes into the first period, beating Condors netminder Timo Pielmeier on the nearside. Just over four minutes later with Greg Collins in the penalty box for the Wranglers, Kyle Hagel stole the puck just outside the Bakersfield blue line. The gritty forward beat Pielmeier with a wrist shot from the hashes for a shorthanded, unassisted goal and a 2-0 Wranglers lead. The Condors came storming back as Mathieu Aubin scored during a delayed penalty. Matt Pope tied the score at 2-2 just over six minutes later off a feed from Gino Guyer.

In the second period, the Wranglers again carried the early part of the period. Defenseman Jason Krischuk took a cross ice feed from Greg Collins to take the Wranglers to a 3-2 lead. Under two minutes later Alex Bourret worked his way off the right wing boards to between the circles and beat Pielmeier with a wrist shot to give the Wranglers their second two-goal lead of the night. Bakersfield was again not to be denied as Mathieu Aubin's second goal of the night cut the Wranglers lead in half. As time wound down in the second period, Las Vegas native Adam Naglich scored a rebound goal to tie the game at 4-4 with under a minute remaining.

The Condors and Wranglers skated through the first half of the third period scoreless until Mick Lawrence fired home a power play goal from the left side of the net to give the Wranglers a 5-4 lead. Under two minutes later Bakersfield responded as Eric Regan's long wrist shot evaded Joel Gistedt to tie the game.

In overtime the Wranglers carried the play early and often to the Condors forcing several faceoffs in the Condors end. Just over two minutes in, John Schwarz drove hard to the net and fired home a feed from Adam Miller for the game winner. The Wranglers outshot the Condors 9-0 in the overtime period.
