Countdown To Face-Off
January 6, 2010 - ECHL (ECHL)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
For the first-time ever, the Kalamazoo Wings will battle the Johnstown Chiefs. Tonight is the first of three meetings between the teams, and the first of two at the Cambria County War Memorial. The K-Wings will host the Chiefs at Wings Stadium on February 12th and return to War Memorial on March 3rd.
With back-to-back victories, the K-Wings have climbed back to second place in the North Division. Kalamazoo trails the Cincinnati Cyclones by one point in the division. With the Cyclones idle tonight, the K-Wings can move into first place with a win or by earning an overtime or shootout point.
Winless in their last two games and 1-8-0-1 in their last 10, the Chiefs find themselves with 24 points and in fourth place in the East Division. Tonight will conclude a three-game home stand at Cambria County War Memorial for the Chiefs, who are 4-8-2-2 at home this season.
