Prince George, B.C. - The Prince George Cougars in conjunction with the Western Hockey League are pleased to announce our 2015-16 regular season schedule.

The Prince George Cougars 22nd season in the Western Hockey League begins with a pair of weekend matchups at home against Kevin Constantine's Everett Silvertips on Friday, September 25th (7:00 PM) and Sunday, September 27th (5:00 PM). This marks the first time since the 2009-10 season that the Cougars will have started our season at home.

A major bright spot this season for the Cougars is the fact that a vast majority of our home games will be played on weekends. 25 of the Cougars 36 home games take place on either a Friday, Saturday or Sunday - An overwhelming improvement compared to a season ago.

Saturday, October 3rd marks the first road test for the Prince George Cougars, which takes place in Kent, WA against the Seattle Thunderbirds.

This season, the Prince George Cougars will host their annual Teddy Bear Toss game on Saturday, December 19th against their 2015 playoff foes, the Victoria Royals. As always, fans are encouraged to bring a stuffed toy or a toque to the game to toss onto the ice when the Cougars score their first goal.

Other highlighted home games include: A weekend double-header against the defending Western Hockey League champions, the Kelowna Rockets on Friday, October 18th and Saturday, October 19th, an ugly blazer/vintage themed game on Saturday, November 28th against Don Hay's Kamloops Blazers and a weekend double-header against the 2016 Memorial Cup hosts, the Red Deer Rebels on Friday, February 19th and Saturday, February 20th. The Cougars final home regular season game of 2015-16 takes place on Saturday, March 19th against the Kamloops Blazers.

Every second season, the Prince George Cougars head east to Saskatchewan and Manitoba to face the Eastern Division teams.
