GENEVA, IL âThe Kane County Cougars finish out May with a bang, and not just with fireworks. Currently in the front end of an eight-game homestand, the Cougars face the Beloit Snappers on Wednesday and Thursday before the South Bend Silver Hawks (Arizona Diamondbacks affiliate) come to town for the Memorial Day Weekend (Friday, May 28 â Monday, May 31). Packed with special entertainment along with great promotions, military service men and women take center stage over the holiday weekend when the Kane County Cougars host Military Appreciation Weekend. On Friday, May 28 the Kane County Cougars will donate $1 of every walk-up and individual ticket sold to Operation Home Front and the Illinois Military FamilyRelief Fund. Throughout the entire weekend, the Cougars will be collecting items for care packages to be sent to military service members across the globe. Sunday, May 30, the Cougars will welcome Lieutenant Governor Pat Quinn to throw out a ceremonial first pitch. The game will also spotlight a military presentation of the colors during the National Anthem and a fly over by the Lima Lima flight team. Memorial Day Weekend games will include the tummy rubbing antics of Myron Noodleman along with the Zooperstars, Birdzerk! and the high-flying Jesse White Tumblers.

Game three with the Snappers starts off with CD's, courtesy of the KANE /
DUPAGE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT; CD's will be distributed to the first 500
fans entering the stadium.

Thursday night's game will finish the Snappers series in Geneva. The first
2,000 lucky fans will be given a NICOR COUGARS TEAM BASEBALL CARD SET,
featuring first round draft pick and Cougars third baseman Brian Snyder
along with the entire first place Cougars squad.

At the halfway mark of the homestand, the South Bend Silver Hawks will
invade Elfstrom Stadium. MILITARY APPRECIATION WEEKEND kicks off and the
Cougars will donate $1 of every walk-up and individual ticket sold Friday
evening to the Military Family Relief Fund and Operation Home Front.
Complimentary tickets will be given out to troops and family members showing
proper military identification. Cougars fans will have a chance to directly
support the military service men and women overseas by donating items to the
Cougars who will then send care packages across the world. Those fans
donating items will get their name entered into a raffle, which will be held
each evening. Fans will have a chance to win a signed patriotic Cougars
baseball cap along with other Cougars gear. PROVENA MERCY CENTER will give
VISORS to the first 2,000 fans entering the stadium. Fans should keep an
eye out for MYRON NOODLEMAN who will be entertaining throughout the evening.
Fans will not want to miss the Cougars first FIREWORKS show of the season.
Also, speedy fans can test out the Cougars' infield and RUN THE BASES.

Game two against the Silver Hawks will begin with the first 2,000 fans
receiving SPORTS BOTTLES, courtesy of HINCKLEY SPRINGS. Players and coaches
will be available 30 minutes before game time to sign AUTOGRAPHS for fans on
the field. The festivities continue with SKYDIVERS who will descend on
Elfstrom Stadium. The ZOOPERSTARS will be at the game entertaining fans in
their wild and crazy way. The Cougars Second Annual Ballpark Camp Out will
follow Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30 games. For each ticket sold on
the Three Fires Family Nights throughout the summer, the Cougars will donate
$1 back to the Council. THE THREE FIRES COUNCIL scouts will sleep under the
stars following the Saturday, May 29 game, but not before a fabulous
FIREWORKS show and a chance to RUN THE BASES.

Sunday's game will start off with fans being able to get players and coaches
AUTOGRAPHS 30 minutes before game time. The Cougars will be welcoming

should keep their eyes in the sky for a FLY OVER by the LIMA LIMA FLYING
TEAM following the National Anthem. The crazy BIRDZERK! character will be
here making fans in attendance laugh in between innings. Fans will not be
able to miss the highflying JESSE WHITE TUMBLERS. After the game fans will
enjoy something else high in the sky, a fantastic Cougars FIREWORKS show.
Following the amazement, fans will be able to RUN THE BASES. Elfstrom
Stadium will have some overnight visitors with the BR RYALL YMCA INDIAN
GUIDES sleeping overnight and participating in the Second Annual BALLPARK
CAMP OUT.

The South Bend Silver Hawks will finish their four-game series on Monday,
wrapping up the Cougars homestand. AVIS will be giving the first 2,000 fans
MYSTERY GIFT BAGS. Fans have the chance to get AUTOGRAPHS from players and
coaches 30 minutes before game time. Fans can once again close the
afternoon with a chance to RUN THE BASES.
The Cougars will take their act on the road to Clinton on Tuesday, June 1, to start a four game series against the Lumber Kings. The team will return to Geneva Saturday, June 5, for a four-game stint against the West Michigan Whitecaps.
